Girls Weekend

This past weekend, Mom and I went to Erin (Yes, there is a place named after me!) to visit our longtime friends. Natasha is getting married in a few weeks. She had a shower on the Sunday. It was great fun to see them again.

Easter Weekend

:::
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

Easter Sunday with friends: Julia, Victoria, Gabe and Andrew
 Just the ladies [smile]
On Easter Sunday afternoon, we had a big dinner at Nana and Papa's house. There was lots of family from Ottawa and even one of my Nana's sisters and her husband from Toronto came too. At supper we all started doing fancy napkin folds... here is Nate with his!
One of my 3nd cousins who I have not seen in forever, was at the dinner with her family as well. Here is Alison with her napkin!

Life... in Pictures!

I was thinking that a great way to start off this post would be with a oh-so-cute puppy picture...

The last few months have been very busy. I took some pictures along the way (as promised!)
Louise and myself taking a walk along the river one cold wintery day
Having breakfast together during Louise's reading week
February 13th, we celebrated Nana's 70th birthday by having a get-together with family and friends at a local Chinese restaurant and then going back to their place for dessert
Last month, there was a "Star Wars" themed birthday party for our friend, Patrick. Here are some of the costumes!
With some friends at this month's CCO Adoration night
Bowling with the Youth Group on Sunday, here are all the girls
Mom and myself went to see Les Miserables this week, a very well done movie. It was my second time seeing it.. and I wouldn't mind seeing it again!
On March 13th, Pope Francis 1 was elected! It was a very exciting day, It was awesome to be able to watch on the TV as he came out to bless everyone for the first time...
..which leads me into some very exciting news! I am going to World Youth Day in July for two weeks! I was not planning on going... I didn't even register. But earlier this week I received a phone call from a dear lady that Mom and I had met in November at the Women of Bethany retreat in Ottawa. She said that she had been praying all winter for someone that could go -she had been saving up money. Long story short, she called me! It all fell into place... there was one spot open in the group that is going... I got the time off work and... my parents let me go! I'm very excited, it should be awesome. I would appreciate your prayers as I prepare!
I'll leave you all with something to make you smile... Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

A little update!

Hello everyone in blog land :)

As I'm typing this, the wind is wiping through the trees at 50 km per hour, and there is snow falling too... life in Canada!

Life has been busy with work and school. I started part time at Algonquin Collage the beginning of this month in Computer Studies. I'm really enjoying the program and the school. I'm still working part-time as well so my days are filled!

Exciting news! I'm going to Arizona for a week in the early spring with Mom and Dad! I'm really excited. I'll take lots of pictures to post :)

Tonight I'm going with Mom and the youth group to a faith study evening at a neighbouring Parish. I usually work Thursday night so it will be fun to do something a little different!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! I will post again soon...

There was lots of snow falling the past few weeks as I'm sure you all know! Here is Dad and Papa plowing this morning. We have had alot of tractor (snow plow) issues over Christmas, thankfully they seemed to be fixed as of today. Also, thank you Scotty, he put tons of work into snow control as well the past few weeks...
Boxing Day, we had our big family dinner at Nana and Papa's with all the family. Here is all the cousins, except for Leah who had to work.

Wishing all of you, my dear blog readers and your families a very Merry Christmas season and all the best in 2013!

You will be forever missed, our golden boy.

YG Bowling 12/2/12

Last weekend, our Youth Group and a neighbering one got together for a fun night of Bowling. I always think that I'll get better the more I play... but I guess that's not the case! The little one in the purple pants was a better player then me!
