Busy Days

The last few weeks have been filled with lots of different things going on.

Work has been going well. I have been getting more hours over the past month or so and am looking forward to getting more in the fall when my boss goes on maternity leave. I really enjoy working there - it's great talking to all the customers... no matter how much of a "health nut" they are!

Last week Scott and I helped my Aunt and Uncle's family move from their rental house into their new home. 9 - 12 people from their church came to help them move as well. With joined forces we were able to get the moving done smoothly and fairly stress free..

On Saturday, a few friends and I are going to a youth retreat in Ottawa "Under The Son". I'm really looking forward to it. There will be a blog post about it :)

It's great to be back blogging! I am hoping to do a blog post about my friend Louise who is right now walking across Canada in defense of life, with the Crossroads program.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Friends are a Gift from the Lord

On Tuesday Mom and her two friends Niki and Margaret had a nice lunch out together. Then Mom and Margaret drove out to see Marg's family cottage and ended up spending the night! Good for them :) They were all feeling disappointed because Niki was not feeling well and had to leave after lunch. I saw them downtown and took the picture for them.

Lamb's Down Park Festival

Today I had a table at the Lambs Down Park Festival in CP. I was representing The Granary there handing out samples, selling cold drinks, snacks and various other things . It was good experience and I enjoyed telling people about our store.

Alexia Came For a Visit

On Friday, Alexia came for a visit! I was working in the afternoon so I only got to spend a few hours with her. Mom and Lexi dropped me off at work and then they went to the CP park. It was great to have her over.... she is becoming such a big girl! Here are some pictures Mom took throughout the day...

Afternoon Out and Pleasant Surprises!

Today, Mom and I went to out with my Grandma, Aunt Gwen and Cousins Natalie, Mary and Leah for the afternoon. We all met up in Barrhaven and then drove together to Manotick where they were having their annual "Dickinson Day" in honour of the towns founder Moss Kent Dickinson. They had the main street in town closed down and all the little shops had displayed their wares all along the street. We stopped for lunch at a nice cafe nearby. On our way home Mom and I stopped at Bayshore to do some shopping.

While we were gone my dear brother Scott finished weeding our large vegetable garden. He has been working very hard the last couple of weeks doing that for us. Thank-you Scott! There was alot more weeds then normal this year 'cause last year we didn't end up doing a garden. It's great to be doing it again! There will be pictures hopefully in the next few weeks...

Also while we were gone Dad and Shawn cleaned all the windows around the house and powerwashed all the screens! Thank-you Dad and Shawn! It's amazing what can get done when you leave the house for the afternoon....

A Letter From My Mother

8 years ago Mom gave me a letter. It was on the day that we went to see "Anne of Green Gables the musical" at Centerpointe Theater in Ottawa. The letter has meant alot to me over the past 8 years. I wanted to share some excerpts of the letter with you.

Dear Erin Sarah Deanna, April 30, 2003

I love you. I am thankful for the time here with you today at "Anne of Green Gables" More then the play - I am glad to be here with you! I can't think of another woman or girl I'd rather be here with.

I look so forward to our years together as your father and I teach and train you... "That our daughters may be as cornerstones, polished after the similitude of a palace" (Psalm 144:12)

It will be very rewarding to learn with you as we train you in the ways of the Lord. "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (1 Cor. 3:19a)

May the Lord bless you and keep you my dear daughter. I love you. "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain - but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised".

Love, Mommy xoxoxo
