Josh Groban Staight To You Tour Ottawa!

This past Friday Mom and I went to see Josh Groban in concert in Ottawa. We had a wonderful time together. Thank you Daddy for buying us the tickets!

I have listened to most of his music and video clips and I thought it's the best I have ever heard him sing

He played the piano and drums throughout the concert - He has an amazing band.

A Letter From My Mother

8 years ago Mom gave me a letter. It was on the day that we went to see "Anne of Green Gables the musical" at Centerpointe Theater in Ottawa. The letter has meant alot to me over the past 8 years. I wanted to share some excerpts of the letter with you.

Dear Erin Sarah Deanna, April 30, 2003

I love you. I am thankful for the time here with you today at "Anne of Green Gables" More then the play - I am glad to be here with you! I can't think of another woman or girl I'd rather be here with.

I look so forward to our years together as your father and I teach and train you... "That our daughters may be as cornerstones, polished after the similitude of a palace" (Psalm 144:12)

It will be very rewarding to learn with you as we train you in the ways of the Lord. "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (1 Cor. 3:19a)

May the Lord bless you and keep you my dear daughter. I love you. "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain - but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised".

Mom and Dad's Trip - Part 1

I have been wanting to tell you a bit about Mom and Dad's trip. We have been having some trouble downloading photos from the trip so for now I have pulled some online. There will be a longer trip post coming up.

Their first few days were spent in Calgary. Dad had some meetings and presentations to make.

After that they went to Victoria Island for 4 days. This is a picture of the Delta hotel where they stayed.

Spring is well underway in Victoria this time of year. There were large pots of flowers everywhere.

One of the days Mom and Dad were able to go and visit

a National Historic Site of Canada, "Butchart Gardens". Here are a few pictures I pulled from their website...

Dad surprised Mom with a ride on a float plane from Vancouver to Victoria Island. The ride took about 35 min.

I'm looking forward to sharing more pictures and details at a later date.

Auf Wiedersehen

We have been busy the last few days getting Mom and Dad ready to go on a trip this week to Calgary and Victoria. Dad has been away alot the past year so it's nice that Mom and Dad are able to spend some time together this week (after Dad's meetings are over in Calgary!)

Please pray that the flights go well and that they have a great time. Victoria should have nice spring weather this time of year...

Josh Groban Is Coming To Town!

Dad very kindly bought Mom and I tickets to see Josh in concert at Scotiabank Place on July 22nd!

A Weekend Away/ Hunting

Mom and I went away for a ladies retreat this past weekend in Quebec. We had a lovely relaxing time together. The theme of the weekend was, "I have called you by name, you are Mine!"

Shawn and Dad hunted very faithfully the whole two weeks of the season and on Saturday Shawn got a nice doe! Thanks Shawn, it will be good eating this winter. I couldn't help putting up this picture of Bambi...

Tea on the Lawn

Mom is part of a local chapter of the Women's Institute(WI). They serve "Tea on the Lawn" as a fundraiser during the summer at a local Conservation area.

Yesterday was my first volunteer afternoon with them - Mom and I went together. It was a lot of fun, a good experience and the food was great! Always a plus :) The menu is homemade tea breads and tea (in your own tea pot :) or lemonade.

The next time I go I will get pictures as I forgot my camera. You know us bloggers - we always have to have our cameras with us!

Mom and I have started biking again this week. It has been a while since our last bike ride so we have been discovering some muscles that we had forgotten about!

Biking has always been one my favorite forms of exercise so it's great to be back at it.
