I am thinking a lot about NY the last few weeks! I am leaving in just 14 days. I have to slip down to NY to a UPS store. It is only about an hour and a half from our house. I am ordering some skirts from a really nice modest clothing store in the states. The skirts fit nicely and are very comfortable. They are also very good about returns if need be.
Thank-you Shawn for driving me :)
I am growing three pots of tulips for Easter and they have been growing fine....but they have gotten so tall that they are starting to fall right over. We have put some string around them hoping to try and keep them upright but it is not working. We were thinking of just cutting them and putting them in a vase, but they are not open at all really, just slowly starting to peel back at the top. Do you think that this will work? Please leave your thoughts!!

Hey Erin, Regarding the Tulips, Did you try adding a stake of some sort in, something like a thin piece of wood, then tie the stems to the stake? Its exciting getting ready for trips. You will have a wonderful time. Margaret
Hi Erin, You can cut them and put them in cold water. Keep them in the fridge if you want to delay them opening...and make sure the vase is tall or the stems short to avoid drooping over...
hugs,
Niki
Thank-you both for your helpful tips!
Erin
