An Interesting Find!

Well, as of tonight we have all of our apple sauce made up!

We bought 5 bushels, 4 1/2 which we made into apple sauce. There seemed to be a lot of apple sauce in the freezer so when we did up the last half bushel this evening we figured out that you get 50 cups per half bushel of apples.

Which equals 450 cups of apple sauce! I think we have enough Mom...

Getting ready for hunting

We (meaning Shawn and Dad mostly) have been getting ready for hunting the last few days. The season started today, they are both out 'till dark. I will be going out with them too over the next two weeks. I don't know if Scott will be back for the hunt this year or not... maybe next weekend, we'll see. Good luck guys, I hope you get one just like the picture!

Mom took this yesterday after we had been working on the deer blinds and Dad had been sighting in his rifle - it was a cold evening!

"Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all of the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, now I give you everything."

Genesis 9:1-3

Our First Snow, The Wood is in and Fall Porch Decorations

Friday we had our first "sprinkle" of snow. Dad, Shawn and Scott were working hard into the evening to get the first load of wood in. Just as they finished, snow began to gently fall from the sky.

Our fall decorations - I keep forgetting to post some pictures of them!

A Full Moon and Our Weekend

Tonight is a full moon. We live in the country, so there are no "town" lights and we are able to enjoy our deep navy blue night sky. Speaking of night skies, my brother who has always dragged his family out to see the stars is home for the weekend. Scott and Mom are the night sky "nuts" at our house.

Yesterday and today I worked at the health food store. Alexia (the baby) was here for part of today as well. Scott came home tonight so this weekend we can celebrate his Birthday! We are having Nana and Papa over for dinner on Saturday night to celebrate.

Tomorrow is the CWL bazaar that our church puts on every year. I did the publicity for the event and worked on typing up schedules and making name tags etc. I am helping out with decorating in the morning and the tea room during the bazaar.

My good friend Louise is celebrating her Birthday tomorrow - October 23rd. Happy 20th Birthday Louise!!! I hope you have a great day. Tannis, Caroline, Louise, Rosie (her sister) and I are taking Louise out for a Birthday lunch on Sunday after church. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.

Happy 20th Birthday Scott!!!

We love you and wish you a great year ahead! I miss not seeing you everyday and I can hardly wait to see you tonight :)

This is Scott's first Birthday ever that he has not been home to celebrate. We are going to be having a Birthday dinner for him on Saturday evening.
