A Full Moon and Our Weekend

Tonight is a full moon. We live in the country, so there are no "town" lights and we are able to enjoy our deep navy blue night sky. Speaking of night skies, my brother who has always dragged his family out to see the stars is home for the weekend. Scott and Mom are the night sky "nuts" at our house.

Yesterday and today I worked at the health food store. Alexia (the baby) was here for part of today as well. Scott came home tonight so this weekend we can celebrate his Birthday! We are having Nana and Papa over for dinner on Saturday night to celebrate.

Tomorrow is the CWL bazaar that our church puts on every year. I did the publicity for the event and worked on typing up schedules and making name tags etc. I am helping out with decorating in the morning and the tea room during the bazaar.

My good friend Louise is celebrating her Birthday tomorrow - October 23rd. Happy 20th Birthday Louise!!! I hope you have a great day. Tannis, Caroline, Louise, Rosie (her sister) and I are taking Louise out for a Birthday lunch on Sunday after church. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.

God's Promise

Yesterday we got a lot of rain throughout the course of the day. Just before supper the rain stopped, the clouds opened , the sun started to shine and the most beautiful rainbow came out right through our woods.

I was reminded once again of God's promise to Noah and his sons that "never again shall all living things be destroyed by the waters of a flood, nor shall there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth."

8. God spoke as follows to Noah and his sons,

9. I am now establishing my covenant with you and with your descendants to come,

10. and with every living creature that was with you: birds, cattle and every wild animal with you; everything that came out of the ark, every living thing on earth.

11. And I shall maintain my covenant with you: that never again shall all living things be destroyed by the waters of a flood, nor shall there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth.

12. And this, God said, "is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come"

13. I now set my bow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

14. When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds,

15. I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things.

16. When the bow is in the clouds I shall see it and call to mind the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth, that is, all living things.'

17. That, God told Noah, 'is the sign of the covenant I have established between myself and all living things on earth.'

Happy 28th Anniversary Mom and Dad!

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Hope you all had a great long weekend if you are fellow Canadians!

Scott and I were hired to be servers at a wedding reception on Saturday night. We were there from 3:00 pm-12:00 am. It was really fun to be part of the behind the scenes of a wedding and great experience :). The mother of the bride was such a nice lady to work for - very generous. We came in for about five hours to help with clean-up after church on Sunday. Then we came home and went right over to Nana's and Papa's house for a nice BBQ dinner.

Scott and I before heading out on the Saturday afternoon

I made a pan of rice krispie squares yesterday :)

Last night good friends had us over for a nice BBQ at their house. We had the camera with us but only took one picture! Here is Seth, Joel and Scott. They have all played music together and all really love music so they never run out of things to talk about... I have to leave when the talk gets to technical :). Seth and I had fun playing a l o n g Chess game... I was nice and let him win. Their daughter Emily is going to be my piano teacher this year.

It was great to see all of you!

Tonight is the dress rehearsal of "The Taming Of The Shrew". Hopefully all goes well!

Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
