A Wedding Shower for Deanna

This past Sunday Mom and I along with dear friends Margaret and her daughter Mary-Beth held a shower for Deanna. We have known both of their families for years so it was nice to be a part of this special time for Deanna and Jon. There were about 21 ladies in attendance. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and great to talk to some people that we had not seen for awhile! Some of the pictures were a little washed out so here are the best ones.

The Cottage

I am sorry that his post has taken so long in getting up. We have been busy getting ready for a wedding shower! Post to follow.

We had a wonderful vacation together as a family. After a week Mom and Dad brought Scott to school and finished getting him settled in. We really miss him but we will be seeing him on Wednesday!

We are back

We have been at a cottage the past 9 days. It was a very nice vacation! While we were gone the internet got fixed.

We took some family pictures while we were there. I will hopefully have a cottage post up in the next day or so along with news about Scott now being in University! Quite a change...

1 Rain Storm = No Internet = No Posting...

This past week has been... interesting as you can see by my post title. We had a large storm last Saturday night that took out our Internet so my blogging came to an abrupt standstill 'till yesterday.

Last Thursday night we had Scott's violin teacher Suzanne and her husband David for dinner before Scott heads off to University. It was lovely to be able to visit with them. I used to sell them eggs before I sold my chickens this past spring.


Last Friday evening Dad, Mom, Scott and I went to a piano recital of a young man whose family we have known since I was little. Wei is going off to University this fall for his second year. He gave an amazing concert!

Saturday was Mom and Dad's 28th Anniversary! This picture was taken of them before they left for the day. They had fun doing different things together and they spent the night in a nice hotel and then drove to meet us three kids at our next event...

Scott played the violin at a house concert of a retired opera singer we know who Scott has had the great pleasure of playing with over the past couple of years. Here is a fun picture of the two of them.

A Nature Walk and Tea On The Lawn

Every summer in our area during July and August we have tea on the lawn Wednesday and Saturday at a local conservation area. See the post I did about one here. Yesterday Mom was doing the tea with another lady so I thought I could go on a nice walk with Nana on one of the trails and then have tea after! What a lovely day for a walk...
